Elon Musk and Donald Trump are trying to turn the U.S. government into their personal piggy bank—but Rep. Dan Goldman isn’t letting them get away with it. I just had him on to break down just how deep their corruption goes, and let’s just say, you don’t want to miss this one.
Goldman called out Musk for handing Trump $250 million and getting control over major government contracts in return. Even worse, Musk’s company might now have access to Americans’ private data. When Musk fired back with a juvenile “corrupt politicians says what?” Goldman hit him with the truth: “Tell it to the judge under oath.”
This is the Trump-Musk playbook—insults, distraction, and dismantling democracy while hoping no one notices. Goldman sees through it. Musk is freezing government funding, manipulating contracts, and evading basic conflict-of-interest rules because he’s not technically a government employee. Meanwhile, Trump is gutting anti-corruption laws and stacking the government with cronies who’ll let him run wild.
The scariest part? They’re setting the stage to outright defy court rulings. Goldman made it clear: if we lose the rule of law, we lose democracy. But here’s the good news—people are fighting back. Public outrage already forced Trump’s administration to reverse their funding freeze, and with another budget fight looming, Democrats still have ways to hold them accountable.
Bottom line: Trump and Musk are trying to turn the U.S. into an oligarchy, but Goldman isn’t letting them off the hook. We won’t either.
