Donald Trump woke up today, as he does most days, in a fog of delusion. He spent his morning firing off bizarre social media posts, throwing around random billion-dollar figures like a bad parody of Dr. Evil. Meanwhile, the country is facing a real economic crisis—rising costs, gutted social programs, and a healthcare system on the brink. But Trump? He’s busy selling cheap merch and promising desperate donors a golden ticket to Mar-a-Lago.
To cut through the noise, I had Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi on the show to talk about what’s really happening behind the scenes. And let me tell you—people are pissed. Not just Democrats. Republicans and independents are flooding congressional offices with calls and are showing up at town halls, demanding answers about the shady deals and reckless policies coming out of Trump’s White House.
Take Elon Musk, for example. This guy has somehow wormed his way into government decision-making, with private access to critical federal data. And when Americans demand accountability—when we say, “Just have him testify under oath”—Republicans fold like cheap lawn chairs. Why? Because Musk is threatening them. He’s holding their reelections hostage with the promise of primary challengers bankrolled by his billions.
And while all of this is happening, Trump is laser-focused on—wait for it—banning paper straws. I wish I were making this up. Meanwhile, grocery prices are skyrocketing, avian flu is spiraling out of control, and Americans are struggling just to get by.
But here’s the good news: People aren’t asleep at the wheel anymore. Voters across the nation, even in ruby red districts, are showing up at Republican town halls, demanding to know why their private data is being handed over to Musk. They’re watching as Trump and his cronies push large Medicaid cuts just to fund tax breaks for billionaires. They’re realizing that the “populist” act was always a con.
So what do we do? We fight back. We hold these people accountable. We use our votes, our voices, and every tool at our disposal to expose their corruption. Congressman Krishnamoorthi laid it out clearly: There’s no magic fix, but we have a roadmap—speak out, challenge their decisions in court, leverage every budget and debt ceiling vote to make them answer for their actions, and, most importantly, take back power in 2026 and 2028.
The resistance to Trump’s chaos is growing, and we’re leading the charge. If you’re as fired up as we are, consider joining as a paid subscriber today.
