This reply has a “let them eat cake” tone. Who will prosecute? Everyone who makes a move for justice finds themselves on the list as an enemy of the state if not in a concentration camp

Expand full comment

This is the very attitude that allowed the rise of Hitler. Wisconsin has to prosecute. Otherwise they’re sending out a message of acquiescence.

Historically, distupting normal business and boycotting wealthy oligarch's businesses have moved oligarchs to withdraw support from dictators and led to their removal. Protests in DC are cool but parking protests - filling up Walmart and Whole Foods parking lots (no signs) between 11-3 & 4-6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday (and Weekdays ) will have a much more powerful affect. Add Tmobile partnering with Starlink, etc.

Tyler: you are exactly right. From what I understand, the evidence that you have published/made public an off that you will pay someone (even as little as $1, let alone a sum of $1,000,000!) is a felony crime in the state of Wisconsin, then the AG for that state SHOULD FILE charges for that crime against Elon Musk!! If that is on the books, to discourage it from happening in the first place, yet it is done anyway, it shows a “lawless attitude” and an “I am above the law” mentality. In that case, “the Law” needs to slap him hard in order to get 1.) his attention; and 2, his respect for the law. So he can come to understand that the law is here and on the books for the benefit and protection of all… and, it is especially to be used for those who think they can violate it at will simply because they don’t want to be burdened with obeying it themselves.

As our Creator God has let us know in Romans 13:1-8, He is the One who set forth the law and remanded the civil violation of the laws to be censored by civilian authorities who are to render punishment for their violations, when violated.

Notice verses 2-4: “Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, 4 for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of god, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer.”

In the State of Wisconsin (and all other States), the Attorney General is the top Law Enforcement Official, and I think something like this flagrant and disrespect for the law should be handled by him, or upon his direction. (That’s why, as a citizen of the State of Florida, and as one who has voted for Pam Bondi in every statewide election she has ever run in, I had voted for her…. Because I had believed that she was a true believer in The Law and its equal application of it as our Creator has instituted it (see Romans 13:1 for that word ‘instituted’ in the Holy Scriptures); but she was won over to a person and ‘his will’ and ‘his law’ and his personal desire for getting his revenge…. and she has sold out her soul for the benefits of her benefactor (the WRONG ONE she is looking to) naming her as our nation’s AG…. and her actions thus far are proving that she understood what that appointment meant when he offered her the role…. “remember that I am your client; and I want you to use the law to shut up those who disagree with me; and I want you to use the powers of that Agency/Department to put the fear of God into them”……

……. When she ought to, instead, have the fear of God in her” and be fearing what He is going to do to her once she dies!

If he has violated the WI state constitution then Trump can't save him using a pardon. I would arrest him the moment he lands in the state.

From a practical standpoint, corrupt billionaires are not accountable for law breaking. Fed or state level. Contrary to the assertion of the Supremes, there are US citizens who are above the law.

Expand full comment

Gee I never read that anywhere in the constitution. And weren’t Epstein and Weinstein billionaires? In fact, there have been several who have gone to jail for various reason besides sexual abuse such as Ponzi schemes. Treason is a new one but there’s always a first for everything:)

Yeah ... And Trump keeps pardoning these criminals. Just today, for example,

It is not in constitution - it is how they use wealth snd power to manipulate legal system to escape justice.

Very well I should have said it isn’t written into law that is how it works. And as I said it hasn’t worked for many billionaires and musk should not be the exception.

The WI State AG should issue an arrest warrant to Musk for felony election law violation. Trump can't issue a corrupt pardon for a state felony.

He needs prosecuted and given jail time, no bail. He knows he can do whatever he wants and he just pays his way out of it.

They won't. They didn't get trump, they won't get Musk. I bet he will be a judge in Wisconsin and everywhere else, the US is finished now :(

It’s time to stop playing MAGA games: stop talking to MAGA, stop buying associated products, and let democrats know that unless you vote no on every single piece of legislation, you get no donations, no campaign phone calls, no re-election.

There is a discount outlet called Ollie's in the southeast and one of their featured products is a Trump wall clock with his ghastly visage on the face of the clock (won't be the first time he's been proven two-faced). I notified Ollie's that I considered it beneath the office of president to hawk cheap digital clocks with his brand on it, and I would not be patronizing Ollie's anymore. My wife suggested I buy them all and destroy them publicly, but I figured they'd just see how fast they sold and order more. This country is more insane by the day, all because of one deranged moron who shouldn't be allowed to manage a porta-potty.

Everyone is suffering bc they don't want to pay tax. They're trying to destroy our democracy and our lives for personal gain. It's disgusting. Starve the billionaires.

Expand full comment

It might be a case of what Musk said is not the same as doing. No money changed hands, apparently. So no crime committed. Up to now, it’s “free speech” territory.

I could be wrong. YMMV.

Expand full comment

"No money changed hands ..."

Ummmm ... not quite.

"A Wisconsin judge on Saturday declined to stop billionaire Elon Musk from handing over $1 million checks to two voters in the state at a planned rally days before the closely contested Supreme Court election. The state attorney general, who argues that the offer violates the law, immediately appealed after the judge refused to hear the request for an emergency injunction to block the payments."

Expand full comment

They need to start naming these judges that are supporting musk and trump

Expand full comment

Interesting. So the demonstration of intent to break the law is a chargeable crime. Did I get that right? Hmmm.

Expand full comment

So you’re argument is that if I held a gun to your head but it misfired, no crime occurred?

Expand full comment

If I did that to somebody my ass would be in jail so quickly my head would spin! That judge is really reaching here.

Expand full comment

Well, here we get into the nuances of law. Uttering a death threat is a whole different ball of wax and is clearly defined in law. Plus the threat you posed goes completely beyond words. So, a false equivalency, IMHO.

Expand full comment

A bank transfer is still money changing hands and would be easier to prove then actual hand to hand payment. WI needs to offer a reward of some sort, doesn’t need to monetary, for someone coming forward to testify that musk is in fact doing this with proof to help prosecute him.

Expand full comment

True. But my point is, regardless of transfer method, no actual transaction took place. So, is a stated intent a criminal act in this instance?

I’m not a lawyer, but curious. If intent is the same as an actual act, then the prosecutor should be doing more than passing a warning.

Expand full comment

I agree totally this seems more serious than a warning! Also, if money hasn’t changed hands how are all these people being paid their $100 that started a week or so ago? This isn’t just about the million dollar payouts.

Expand full comment

It is very much about intent. Intent to sway an election, which is illegal.

Expand full comment

Musk buying a Supreme Court justice is horrible but in fighting this corruption we need to be scrupulous in reporting truthfully. "Musk posted (and later deleted, and reposted) a tweet offering $1 million each to people who show up to a town hall after voting in the critical Wisconsin Supreme Court election". This quote is not correct, he offered $1 million to 2 people attending not all attendees. This is a small error but one that Meidas touch has repeated on multiple platforms. When fighting liars it is especially important to be prudent in truth telling so we give the opposition no reason to also claim we are liars.

Expand full comment

The money has to be given to the person and then Musk can be charged with a crime of bribery. The person accepting the money can also be charged with accepting the money as a bribe.

Expand full comment

Money did change hands in exchange for the person being a "spokesperson" for Elon's petition against "activist judges". However the law says it is illegal to OFFER anything in exchange for votes. He offered even if he hadn't carried through.
