Former MAGA Gov Candidate Convicted of Stealing Charity Money to Pay for Plastic Surgery
Another in a long line of MAGA thieves and grifters.
Controversial former Las Vegas City Counsel Member Michele Fiore was convicted today of 6 counts of wire fraud for embezzling funds she raised for her PAC and non-profit to allegedly erect a statue to honor a police officer killed in the line of duty. Fiore also ran for Governor of Nevada in 2022 in the Republican primary. Ironically, her sentencing was set for January 6.
The money was supposedly going to be used to purchase and erect a statue honoring Alyn Beck, a Las Vegas police officer killed in the line of duty in 2014. Fiore solicited donations into her PAC for the statue, but instead used the money for plastic surgery, to pay for her daughter’s wedding, and rent.
“She never cared about Officer Beck’s memory or his sacrifice,” federal prosecutor Alexander Gottfried said in his closing argument Thursday. “She took those donors’ money. She took it from people who were trying to do a good thing.”
In her campaign for Governor of Nevada in 2021, she ran on an anti-crime, pro-gun, and anti-woke platform. However, at the same time she made this ad, she was embezzling money donated for charitable purposes.
It was twofer day in MAGA land today. Tina Peters got sentenced to nine years and dragged off to jail and now this!
Greed, Grift, and Guile under the guise of God.
