Important Message from Meidas Co-Founder

Hey Meidas Mighty, it’s Ben Meiselas. I am proud of you for hanging in there and fighting together. I know these weeks can feel like years sometimes. The amount of damage Trump and Musk are inflicting cannot be appropriately captured in words.

I think it’s important I pause to let you know how appreciated you are by me and by this community and by this country—the true America.

Trump and Musk wanted to destroy us by now and destroy all resistance with their “shock and awe” plan, and they failed. But here we are. They are flailing. They didn’t knock us out.

The resistance and opposition to the Trump regime grow stronger by the day.

Along this journey, we are going to find out who is ready to fight with us and who is ready to submit and kiss the ring.

We saw, even before Trump took office during the transition, those who submitted in advance and were drawn to kiss the ring like a fly to a fluorescent zapper of doom.

Others held out a little longer and then kissed the ring when faced with the first sign of real adversity.

Others have risen to the challenge, and have met the moment, and have revealed the strength and courage and fighting spirit that is so needed right now in America.

Try not to get discouraged by those who let you down in this fight. They aren’t worth your time and energy. There are so many pro-democracy warriors stepping up right now that your time and energy and emotional bandwidth are best spent rallying with the true fighters.

I’ve long predicted a “democracy summer,” a full awakening of the American fighting spirit, to stand up against the Trump regime in the most public and powerful of ways.

I feel stronger than ever that this moment will soon be arriving.

Trump is pushing us there.

Trump has turned America into a powder keg. The stage will be set for the largest peaceful protests in history.

Last night, I made a video very critical of Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer for announcing he was going to be allowing the GOP Continuing Resolution (CR) to get a vote, which would then need only a majority to pass.

To say I think this is a wrong decision by Schumer would be putting it lightly.

We are dealing with a “regime” and not a “government by the people and for the people.” The Trump regime is “against the people.”

Even though the polling suggests more Americans would blame Trump and the GOP for the shutdown instead of Democrats, I don’t base my decision on opposing the CR on the polling at all.

I base my decision on what is right and wrong.

It is wrong to be complicit in any way with the Trump regime.

It is just and right to fight the Trump regime.

Wherever that polls, so be it. We fight for the people and not for the polls. We oppose the regime.

We will see what the outcome of the CR vote is today. Regardless, it won’t slow us down at the MeidasTouch Networks.
