You're gravely mistaken about me Susanna J. Sturgis whoever that you are. I'm only being outspoken from my life experience that was much, much more difficult than yours or James Koepfler's, but you seem to dislike my mere self-esteem and dignity - well, that is your problem, that will never ever change. This battle that's just started in USA - has been my entire life as a member of the most endangered group of people i.e. LGBTIQA people in the region of the world I had the misfortune to be born in AND in western Pennsylvania of USA that I never chose to be in - International Organization For Migration made all the choices - I did NOT have a single choice in anything at my age of barely 21!! The only thing I made a choice was being talked by Jewish Community into accepting immigrating to USA as they saw I was speaking excellent English and was a truly cosmopolitan, multiculturalist person of a great intellect and potential - thinking USA was better than postcommunist-turned-fascist eastern half of Europe. I frankly at first wanted to be in Canada, not in USA!! From 1997-2016 I sacrificed to USA my entire life, have been told from the start to forget about post secondary education, to only work the jobs that NO American would want to work, to only pay the huge amounts taxes that a single person pays I had NO any single use thereof - was almost enslaved. Yet I still had to with my intellect and perseverance break those obstacles that were set by the discriminatory others in my way and graduate with two diplomas while working the lowest paid jobs I was overqualified for.
I've been writing about the need to be solution-oriented instead of craving for acceptance by the bigots!! If you don't understand that it's impossible to be tolerant of the intolerants and that being truly Free and Democratic means being self-defensive and relentless against the enemy i.e. the antidemocrats and being understanding of the vast diversity of pro-Democratic and Liberal people i.e. the real friends - if you don't understand that most basic essential axiom, then, you've accepted losing in advance - and that is your problem!!
