Meet Trump's 2nd Choice For Attorney General: A Prosecutor He Bribed

Pam Bondi, who has protected Trump's criminality for years, is his new choice for Attorney General

In this YouTube video, Legal AF host Michael Popok breaks down Donald Trump's nomination of Pam Bondi for Attorney General mere hours after his first choice, alleged sex offender Matt Gaetz, withdrew his name from nomination. If Bondi’s name sounds familiar, it’s because she has been in the Trump legal orbit for years; going back to her role in helping make an investigation into Trump University disappear as Florida Attorney General, after she accepted a $25,000 donation from the now defunct Trump real estate school scam.

Bondi then went on to work for Trump in various other legal capacities, including being part of his legal team during his first impeachment, and filing amicus briefs on behalf of his baseless fraud claims about the 2020 election. While representing Trump during his impeachment, Bondi simultaneously lobbied for foreign nations such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar, raising serious ethical concerns.

With Trump out of power, Bondi, like so many other members of his administration, became part of the fake think tank, the America First Policy Institute, which was founded Stephen Miller, the architect of so many of Trump’s fascist policies, including family separation. Bondi’s nomination reflects Trump’s pattern of appointing loyalists to key positions to ensure personal loyalty and control.

Unlike Democratic presidents, who never speak to their A.G.’s in order to maintain their independence, Popok expects Bondi to be a regular fixture at the White House, as Trump transforms the wheels of justice in the United States into his own personal legal front.
