It’s Sunday, and that means it’s time to get some coffee together.
Don’t feel pressured to have coffee if you prefer tea or another beverage.
For our new subscribers to this Substack, each Sunday I make a “Sunday Morning Coffee” post where we can reflect on the week’s events together and discuss what we anticipate happening next week.
I am walking to the coffee shop down the block from where I live.
I’m going to get my favorite blend of black coffee when I get there.
As I walk, I want to reflect first on the accomplishments of the MeidasMighty community this week.
We hit 4 million YouTube subscribers on Thursday, and now we march to 5 million.
Thank you for spreading the word about the network and growing the community.
We are approaching 6 billion views on YouTube.
In world news, Trump’s weakness continued to show this week.
He set a deadline that if Hamas did not release all Israeli hostages by Saturday at noon, “all hell would break loose.” Before the deadline expired, Trump said it would be up to Netanyahu what to do if Hamas did not meet the deadline, hedging his “hell will break loose” rhetoric.
Hamas and Netanyahu ignored Trump and his deadline, and Hamas released three hostages on the same schedule that was part of the Biden ceasefire deal that was already negotiated.
I am at the coffee shop now, by the way. Natasha, the shop manager, just handed me the coffee. Turns out Natasha watches the MeidasTouch YouTube channel and is not a Trump supporter. She says she “doesn’t like politics” but despises Trump. That’s good news, I guess.
Back to the post.
Actually, quick sip.
OK, now back to the post.
At this point, all world leaders seem to recognize that Trump is all bark and no bite when it comes to his deadlines and most of his threats.
Trump uses the language of Putin when it comes to annexing allies like Canada, but then he often claims victory by saying he made a deal that essentially does nothing.
While American propaganda media may laud these stunts, he has pissed off most countries in the world with his malicious and reckless rhetoric and antics.
Speaking of pissing off the world, JD Vance enraged all of Europe at the Munich Conference by giving one of the most disrespectful and shameful speeches in history.
Vance attacked European democracies to the faces of their leaders, encouraged Russian election interference in European democracies, and met with Germany’s neo-Nazi party, the AfD, while snubbing Germany’s other parties.
Vance sent a clear message that America was not a reliable ally to Europe.
The other major foreign policy debacle this week was how the Trump regime dealt with Ukraine and President Zelenskyy.
Earlier in the week, Donald Trump posted that he spoke with Putin without first informing Zelenskyy and our European allies.
Trump and former Fox host–turned Secretary of Defense–Pete Hegseth announced that they did not want Ukraine to join NATO ever and that Ukraine could not reclaim its pre-2014 borders, which were unlawfully seized by Russia.
In addition, the American delegation that met with Zelenskyy in Munich tried to force him to sign a contract turning over all of Ukraine’s rare earth minerals to America without any assurances of protection.
Zelenskyy rejected the contract.
Thereafter, it was announced that Trump administration officials would meet with Putin’s delegation in Saudi Arabia. This was announced without consulting Ukraine or any European nation.
By the way, how’s your coffee?
My coffee is pretty good.
It felt a little extra hot this morning, so I had to let it cool.
But it’s a good temperature now. I’m headed back to my house.
As for domestic affairs, Trump and the GOP rolled out their proposed budget this week. It includes $4.5 trillion in tax cuts for billionaires, $880 billion in cuts to Medicaid, $350 billion in cuts to education, and $250 billion in cuts to farmers.
The Trump and GOP budget does not include anything about eliminating taxes on tips, overtime, or Social Security.
The budget says nothing about capping credit card interest rates and penalties. Big shocker—Trump and Republicans lied to their voters once again. Sarcasm.
Speaking of lies, Trump and the Republicans are now pretending they never promised to lower prices.
Essentially, they’re saying it’s patriotic to pay more for groceries, gas, and other products to pledge allegiance to Trump and Musk. It’s ridiculous.
Inflation is rising again, egg prices are at record highs, gas prices are climbing, and prices across the board are surging. Trump says it’s not a big deal and that we shouldn’t be worried. How absurd.
Trump also posted on Saturday: “He who saves his country does not violate any law.” Trump is a pathetic traitor to the United States Constitution. He is a lawless maniac in cognitive decline.
I am hearing that protests will be picking up this week.
We will be covering them on the MeidasTouch Network, unlike our corporate media, which tries to downplay them or not cover them at all.
As I’ve said in prior posts, I expect the protests to gradually expand until we see historic demonstrations against Trump and Musk this summer.
As I said in my post yesterday, despite troubling news, I feel hope and optimism.
Trump and Musk expected they would destroy all our institutions by now and did not expect any resistance to remain.
The fact that there is fierce and growing resistance will pose a major challenge to them and their incompetent bandits carrying out their unlawful orders. The resistance is growing. MeidasTouch and the MeidasMighty are helping lead it.
I’m back at home now. My coffee was great. I didn’t spill anything on my sweatshirt, which I usually do during these walks. So that’s a good thing.
But I also wanted to say that corporate media is becoming less relevant each day.
Thanks to you subscribing to this Substack and gifting subscriptions to others, we have grown bigger than cable news or other corporate media.
We are 100% people-powered, with no investors, and we beat Fox (and all cable networks) in digital views. We even beat Joe Rogan on the audio charts this month.
We’ve been able to rapidly get out real news to bigger audiences than corporate media when Trump thought he had controlled all media.
Yes, we receive a ton of death threats, cyberattacks, constant harassment, and other malicious conduct from Trumpers, but they have not stopped us in our mission.
As you saw this week when we hit 4 million subscribers, we have only grown bigger despite the threats.
Your subscription to this Substack—and gifting subscriptions to others—has made the difference in our growth and has allowed us to lead all independent media.
I’m back inside my house now, about to record some videos for today in my living room.
We are going to step up the pressure even more this week.
We will fearlessly fight the Trump regime.
We will not mince words in our coverage. We will call traitors traitors. We will call a coup a coup. We will call crimes crimes.
We will not be scared or hold back. There is a reason we are the Trump regime’s nightmare.
If you aren’t already a subscriber, we ask that you subscribe now to this Substack.
You can even gift subscriptions to others.
We are trying to add another 100 subscribers today, so please help us hit that goal.
I am proud that you can see how your subscriptions to this Substack have led to the meteoric growth of this network, making it the leader in this space and helping us beat Fox and all cable news in digital ratings.
Let’s keep going and keep up our fight against the Trump regime. Please subscribe.
Thanks for subscribing.
We are so grateful for you, MeidasMighty.
I’m an American living in Germany. I am so very embarrassed of both what Hegseth and Vance have said in recent days here. I applaud what Herr Pistorius (German Defense Minister) said about Vance’s shameful speech.
I, that little old lady trying to type on her cellphone because she will not pay for cable or internet in protest even though she can afford it, who refuses to buy ANYTHING from Thumper supporters or companies doing business with him........LEARN SO MUCH FROM YOUR PODCASTS!!! There, I said it out loud! Whew. I've been holding that in for weeks now!! Too bad I have to use the internet on my phone from AT&T!
