Not often, and I had hoped Meidas Touch ended that sponsorship a long time ago bc of how Bezos treats his workers, including being anti-union, and how he treats the businesses that sell on Amazon. But I heard a WaPo ad read on Meidas Touch not long ago, was disappointed, and then the news broke that Bezos stopped the paper from endorsing Harris. Of course he did - the FTC is suing Amazon and most likely would have taken some action against them if Harris had won. About a year ago Bezos hired a new WaPo CEO who worked for Rupert Murdoch for years. I assume MTN has finally cut ties with WaPo and hope they avoid unethical corporations and shady billionaires like this in the future!

After going through all the current comments and liking the positive ones while ignoring the ones who demanded (yes, demanded) the identity of the offending sponsor, I will say that I trust the judgment of our MTN leaders unequivocally and will continue to support them financially and by publishing their content.

After going through all the current comments and liking the positive ones while ignoring the ones who demanded (yes, demanded) the identity of the offending sponsor, I will say that I trust the judgment of our MTN leaders unequivocally and will continue to support them financially and by publishing their content.

Jan 20 is the END OF DEMOCRACY. It is NOT OK for us to sit here saying, “We must RESIST!” or “in 4 years” as if that does ANYTHING when a monster has the reigns of every part of government and more.
We can NOT GIVE the largest, most powerful military in the history of earth to a mad man who says he intends on turning it on citizens and residents. That is NOT an option. SO a plan and implementation has to be done. Only 1 in 3 citizens voted for trump. Russia PHYSICALLY interfered with our election. That is an act of WAR. Nearly 40% didn’t even vote because of Russian misinformation. We have FIVE WEEKS.
Other nations are facing the same election interference we had and their citizens are IN THE STREETS.
WHY are we just sitting here, marching to our deaths, pretending this is just any old election or pretending that Putin didn’t interfere? I do not get it. This is not normal behavior.
The America I grew up in would NEVER have just rolled over and handed the country to a fascist. Never.
I don’t give a damn how “legitimate” the thing appears. People have been manipulated into believing complete garbage by our corporate media and millions of dollars worth of bots and trolls operating on social media for over a decade. Is that a “legitimate” election? I said it 8 years ago: we are under attack by Russia and other bad actors and this is WAR. I love Joe Biden, but I’m pretty damn fed up with his behavior and the behavior of other elected democrats since the election. Given the catastrophe that just happened, I fully expected our party leaders to step up, tell us how to prepare, advise us on how to protect ourselves, our money, our homes. They’re making baskets for Thanksgiving and yammering on about things they’ve passed that will be flushed down the toilet by Trump. I’ve never seen the party behave so stupidly out of touch. I mean, this is for the whole enchilada folks. This is us destroyed completely and not a fucking word from anyone to assuage even SOME of our fears. It’s shameful. I’m ashamed of the democrats. The leadership and the DNC are not the fighters we need. These scholarly, pontificating, pleased with themselves-types are killing us. They also pissed away one BILLION dollars. I don’t see how that isn’t just more “moving money out of the middle class”, same as the republicans have done for 50 years. Have you seen the laughable leadership list? SSDD, man. Pathetic. And yeah, the ATM thing. I gave thousands over the course of Joe’s campaign and Kamala’s. I know it isn’t George Clooney money, but percentage of my wealth-wise, I bet I gave a hell of a lot more than he did. And what’s my reward? They’re still asking for money. Until we get the old rich people the hell out of the way, nothing will change. They are weak. And they are too damn comfortable.

However, I DO NOT think it is the age of the people that is a problem. No doubt, time for young blood but that did not occur in the past because THE YOUNG PEOPLE DIDN’T SHOW UP, not because they were pushed out. Our young people, like our men, have been failing for a looooong time. Trust me, we tried. This ageism does not help anyone.
Let’s just focus on what we need done, rather than bashing each other.
