Four years ago, Donald Trump incited a violent insurrection at the United States Capitol. The smoke had barely cleared from the Rotunda when Trump and Republican officials began their attempts to rewrite the events of that infamous day.
At MeidasTouch, we knew we had to act swiftly to create a record of what truly happened during the insurrection—moment by moment—so that our history could never be erased. Long before the January 6th Committee began its work, we understood the urgency of documenting this critical chapter. We quickly got to work on a digital short that explored not only the events of January 6th but also what led up to it and its aftermath. The result was a powerful mini-documentary film we call A Coup In Plain Sight.
