Wow!!! One more reason to love you!!! ❤️As a Northern Californian, I’ve been supporting Kap since he first took a knee. I had no idea you were his lawyer. I was horrified when Trump tried to humiliate Kap and any other players who refused to participate in the anthem at games. I was horrified again during the George Floyd protests in DC in June when Trump had Lafayette Square violently cleared so he could make a spectacle of himself by crossing the street to pose with a Bible at a church.

On Labor Day, 2020, in a strange turn of events, I found myself at a redneck MAGA bar up on Clear Lake with some friends with very different political views. The live band there played the anthem. People rose to their feet, hands on hearts, hats off. Not me. In my blue sundress with my blonde hair and blue eyed white privilege, thinking of Kap and of George Floyd and the passionate and necessary protests of that summer, I took a knee. My husband didn’t. No one at our table did. Just me. A woman in a dress. People stared. I didn’t care. I still don’t care. We all sat back down at the end. One of our friends at the table who had served in the military, smiled really big at me and said “I really respect that you did that. This is what democracy and a free country is all about.”

I hope we can keep it.

Thank you Ben for all you do, all you’ve done, and the person you are. You give me hope! 🇺🇸💙

Frankly, I have much more respect for a professional athlete (or anyone for that matter) taking a knee than I do for those who insist on doing that stupid Trump "dance" in the end zone.

I hope we can keep it as well.

Ok. I'm going to get honest here and I'm sure I will get feedback. Telling the democrats that they have to get personal with people and so forth. Who does the most for the working class? Not the republicons. This latest election cycle was caused by the lies from the MSM. The dems biggest failure is telling it like it is because they may offend someone. We need fighters who will tell the media the truth whether they like it or not. Nothing but the truth.

And how do we get the 1/3 of eligible voters to vote who didn’t vote? We lost the election because of them, not because of Democrats not fighting for the working class.

I agree that we must get them to vote. VP Harris didn't help herself by constantly trying to get the "moderate" Republicans. The base felt left out. It's unfortunate but true. This is not a time to fight amongst ourselves but it is a time for reflection.

Musk the rat spent millions on micro targeting voters with lies and scare tactics using Russian research. Collusion. Traitors. We don’t have a chance unless we can get this truth out. People are being battered and brain washed

I don't disagree with you about the media but I also don't see any evidence that the situation will change in the near future. Many Democrats are very vocal about the truth but they just keep getting shouted down by anchors who need to maintain both sides. Fred Wellman had a very interesting guest on his On Democracy podcast this week--a Dem congressmen who won re-election in Ohio. The first Dem to win re-election in that district in a very long time. He did it by being personal with his constituents. I think you might find it an interesting half hour. The media isn't going to tell our story to the voters. We have to do it ourselves.

No anchor needs to both sides anything if they are being honest. Unfortunately the money means more to them than democracy. These podcasts are great but they do not draw the voter who only shows up on election day. We need to reach them.

The majority of voters don't pay attention to politics and most can't tell you who passed what policy. It's the constant person-to-person contact they remember. If Dems just show up every 2 or 4 years to say hey vote for us, you'll be at most viewed as the lesser of two evils. That doesn't motivate people much. And corporate influence is not tiny in the Dem party either, so until that changes those are headwinds against you. When the bulk of people don't believe anyone is on their side, a demagogue can get their attention. And here we are.

I so appreciate you and your brothers. What a wonderful person your mother must be to have raised such honorable men. Yes I’m giving your mother the credit, Christ knows we get enough blame!

Your work inspires me. I am a fan of yours from Austria. I live in a county called Styria and tomorrow will be an important election. The far- right is expected to win in high numbers and Austria turns more and more to the right. Your strenght and the work of your team has become an important part of my life and helps me get over the despair that sometimes overwhelmes me. I hope you will be able to continue your efforts. 💚

Thank you for sharing a bit of your personal story before MTN. I grew up in Tulare County just north of Bakersfield and learned similar lessons about the local city police and county sheriffs.

We are each leaders. Amongst our friends, in our communities , at the grocery stores...we can each be leaders it's about getting to know what matters to those within the reach of your voice.

Can you just imagine how much better our political environment/government would be if we could keep the billionaires and special interest groups out of government. Unfortunately, this is why we cannot get good people into the government who would really give a damn about people because they don’t have the finances and in order to get the finances they have to cater to the special interest groups. I wish there was a way to empower good people without having to do that.

Thanks for sharing, Ben. The lightbulb went on for me when I saw Noam Chomsky talking about how the Oligarchs have turned us against each other to keep the focus off of themselves. I think if people on both sides realized that these fat cats are keeping us poor and making life harder for us and our descendents, we might all realize who the true enemy is.

I watched it. It was very informative and it was very heartwrenching and gut wrenching at the same time. The corruption and the coverups were astounding. It will truly open your eyes to a lot of things when it comes to what's right and wrong.

Ben very good to hear about your work in Bakersfield. You are one more person who knows that Valley Fever is real.

Thanks for sharing more of your experiences. It would be great if Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert could give MTN a shout out and discuss the important work you're doing. You'd get more subscribers and get the truth to more people. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the hard work you and your brothers do for democracy! 🫶

Ben, You are a source of comfort to this one 83 y.o. Widow. Having been born in the 1st. Half of the last century I have seen a lot. I’ve never end had to worry about our country. Now towards the end of my life, I am scared to death. Your words give me hope that there is a future for my grandchildren and theirs also. My son tells me I am confused in who I chose to vote for. Your support tells me I am not. Thank you sincerely. Rebecca from MO

You're stories are genuinely heartwarming, Ben. I really wish there were a lot more people that want to do the right things for people. I get reenergized when I read them because I'm stuck in a pit, surrounded by magas. I don't know how to deal with it most of the time, so I isolate myself and read information like MTN provides. I just want to thank all of you for helping to keep me 'sane'. I'm a pretty weak person and the other side triggers me the wrong way, and I feel that insanity isn't far away. Thank you again
