In a recent interview with MeidasTouch host Ben Meiselas, Craig Snyder, director of Haley Voters for Harris, shed light on a growing movement of former Nikki Haley supporters now rallying behind Vice President Kamala Harris. This shift, Snyder explained, is fueled in part by Donald Trump’s repeated attacks on Haley’s voters, including his demeaning rhetoric throughout the Republican primaries.

Trump’s inflammatory remarks, including calling Haley “Birdbrain” and criticizing her supporters, have pushed a significant number of center-right voters to reconsider their allegiance. Snyder emphasized that many of these voters, like himself, are looking for a leader who prioritizes American democracy and values bipartisanship over extremism.

Snyder revealed that his super PAC, Haley Voters for Harris, is actively engaging former Haley supporters through a large-scale digital campaign in key swing states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Their strategy focuses on highlighting Harris' centrist policies, generational change, and her commitment to bipartisan governance. Snyder also noted that many Haley voters, particularly those concerned with Trump’s erratic behavior and isolationist stance, are finding Harris' vision for the future of America compelling.

Snyder shared personal anecdotes of his time as a lifelong Republican and his firsthand experience working with Donald Trump years before his presidential run. “I found him to be a person of incredibly poor character,” Snyder remarked, pointing out that Trump’s presidency would be even more dangerous in a second term without the constraints of re-election.

The data Snyder’s group has collected shows that Haley’s voter base has the potential to play a crucial role in swing states, with their support potentially exceeding the margins by which Biden won in 2020. Snyder estimates that about half of Haley’s supporters could end up casting their votes for Harris, a significant shift that could help secure victory in key battlegrounds.

As Election Day approaches, Haley Voters for Harris continues to make the case that saving democracy transcends party lines. With Trump’s extreme rhetoric and dangerous policies pushing away even loyal Republicans, Snyder’s message is clear: Vice President Kamala Harris offers a new way forward that resonates with voters across the political spectrum.
