So he gets away with everything! Fuck this! Fuck lawyers! Fuck everyone.

Once the misogynist anti semetic racist idiots voted their furher in to power then he was granted total control and allowed to continue to break laws

Judge Merchan should have sentenced him in September when it was initially scheduled. His fear of impacting the election may have destroyed this country. There were people who didn't know he was convicted because certain media outlets didn't report on it. Had he been sentenced, they probably would have had to report it.

If the Great American Experiment fails this time around, Judge Merchan will be on the long list of those who could have done something within their purview and failed to stop trump because they were afraid of how it would look.

He has impacted the election by removing all legal penaties from trump's path.

This criminal will never be held accountable. How can you expect a criminal to drain the "swamp" when he is one.

In the interest of justice? Really? Justice is truly dead in the U.S. It would seem everything is still legal AF for oligarchs... as has been for most of history. Greatness? Nope. Fresh out. Check again in 100 years.

I have never seen anything like this clown. He will never be held accountable for anything, ever! I just can't.

I can’t stand any information about this orange clown. I. Just. Can’t. I have decided to just not participate in this traitorous country anymore. I shall ignore everything that happens for the next two years and peek out from under my rock for mid-terms. Then, as I can’t listen to his voice, crawl back under. I’m ashamed of America. I’m scared for America. I am TERRIFIED to lose my Medicare because I know it will mean a slow painful end to my life. So maybe I will be over before mid-terms, let alone the next general election.

There won’t be an America in 2-4 years.

We are afraid of losing or Medicare and Medicaid. If I can't get my diabetes supplies, that will be the end of me. If i'm going out, I will do it my own way and not by government overreach.

Same here Donna. That’s what they want. They want those who are over 65, have chronic illnesses, are poor, aren’t Christian Nationalists, look different than them, or disabled in any way to just “be gone”. I’m so very frightened for my daughters and my grandchildren.

This is when we have to start merging our lives. People who are property rich, but cash poor need to merge their lives - find each other, sell one house, put the other house in both names and use the other house to live in and the money from the 1st house to live off of that money - pay for medicine, taxes, food, what both need. Working on an app already - like a dating app, but for surviving the incoming administration!

I understand where you're coming from, as I just retired. The fear is what they stoke. Please don't fall into it. I was raised with this kind of fear mongering. So in other words, I was raised under a Maga type thought process. I chose to remove myself from it and keep my distance @ 18. I've asked for common ground many times. On the third strike, I was out. I don't typically allow 3 strikes unless family. 1 time is it. A 2nd time allowing it, shame on me!

normalcy bias - The phenomenon of disbelieving one's situation when faced with grave and imminent danger and/or catastrophe. As in over focusing on the actual phenomenon instead of taking evasive action, a state of paralysis.

Normality bias, is a cognitive bias which leads people to disbelieve or minimize threat warnings. [1] Consequently, individuals underestimate the likelihood of a disaster, when it might affect them, and its potential adverse effects. [2] The normalcy bias causes many people to prepare inadequately ..

Great observation, and applicable on many levels. Now on a level that affects the entire planet.

More Bull shit! Like Merrick Garland...It starts out with great respect for the judge, kind words and so many behind the man thinking he is a good man and will hold the criminals accountable, and like Garland, in the end, he's just a cheap suit. A hack! He has failed America, just as the supposed hypocritical leaders on both sides. Very few of these assholes in office or on the bench are worth a damn and in the end, are no better than Trump. No accountability...lots of excuses! Fuck them all!

I wish I could say that I am surprised. What's worse is knowing that Trump is no aberration. All bets are off. He really is above the law, and that's a scary thing. Keep your eyes, ears, and mind open for the inevitable hellscape. We will certainly need to keep our wits about us.

I think tRump should still be sentenced on Nov 26th to 45 days in jail and immediately remanded to Rikers at time of sentencing, without any possibility of turning himself in at a future time. He can serve his sentence in full prior to inauguration and we can all move on.

Sounds like another cowardly DA is trying to find a reason not to sentence the convicted felon. He's not president yet, lawsuits may prove he's not after all he incited an insurrection which prohibits him from the position of president, and his immunity doesn't extend to civilian acts.

Let him run the country from jail if you have to but sentence him.

What did you really think was going to happen though? Trump will get away with this. Is it unfair? Yes. Is it wrong? Is it a miscarriage of justice? Is Trump above the law? Yes, yes & yes. Also, these people have to worry about their actual lives & the lives of their loved ones. It’s not right yet here we are. Unprecedented by an un-president.

There’s very little justice for rich men perpetuating crimes against woman. Also, the entire America system that I trusted and took for granted failed us. The media, the Justice Department, the FBI, the Congress, and 1/2 of the American people. I’m just crushed.

All while Sean Combs sits in a jail cell in New York. Yes, Sean did some horrible shit, but Orange Woodstained Stalin committed crimes against the United States by covering up an affair to win an election, stole top secret documents after inciting a coup because he didn't want to accept the results of the election he lost. What do they think is going to happen this time around? If he doesn't die in office from advanced Dementia first.

I am disgusted with this country.
