President Biden Gears Up To Flood Ukraine With Aid Before January 20th
With Trump's election, protecting Ukraine has become much more important
The Biden-Harris Administration is gearing up to flood Ukraine with as much aid as possible before the Trump Administration takes power on January 20th. According to reports, there is currently $6 billion left in aid that the United States Congress has allowed the Administration to provide to Ukraine.
That aid will come in the form of military equipment and weapons. While it takes time for aid to get from the United States to the front lines in Ukraine, there is now a renewed sense of urgency among Biden Administration officials given the election of Donald Trump.
On the campaign trail, Donald Trump had long promised that he would end the war in Ukraine without providing the public with any specifics. During this same time, Trump cozied up to authoritarian world leaders like Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, and was differential to Vladimir Putin and his objectives in Ukraine.
As America saw during the first term of the Trump Administration, he often placed trust in Vladimir Putin over American intelligence officials, undermining the American intelligence community in the process. This time around, Trump has surrounded himself with MAGA acolytes like JD Vance, who was one of the most anti-Ukraine senators in Washington.
The MAGA brand has shifted to be more isolationist in the name of being "America First." With that, however, has come a renewed sense of interest to cut aid to Ukraine. With just 73 days left in President Biden's term, ensuring Ukraine is able to continue to defend itself for as long as possible will now be a top priority.
Thank you President Biden for all you have done for our country!
Thank you!
