… Mike Johnson said that Matt Gaetz for AG is “such an exciting pick because he will go in and reform DOJ. Matt Gaetz will go in there and shake it up.” Since he’s not in the Senate, he doesn’t get a vote, but he can do his part trying to at least get the House to adjourn if Trump wants to move forward with his recess appointments scheme.

… James Comer: “Everyone will tell you that Matt Gaetz is very intelligent. He’s been right about all the wrongdoing that he has weeded out. I think Gaetz deserves an opportunity.” Gaetz has weeded and accomplished nothing, just like Oversight Chair Comer.

… Meanwhile, Comer has a new book out just in time for Christmas about his failed impeachment investigation of Joe Biden based on allegations against Hunter. Two years, millions of dollars wasted, hundreds of subpoenas, dozens of depositions, hours of hearing time. All so Comer can grift off a book and file a report that nobody will read.

… Trump has now fallen below 50% of the popular vote and will finish with the 3rd narrowest victory in the past 136 years. Right now, just 238K votes in 3 states would have flipped the election to Harris. But MAGA continues to talk about Trump huge “mandate.”

… Elon Musk mocked President Zelensky for his comments that Trump cannot forced them to surrender and give up territory because they are an independent nation that does not have to follow orders from Trump. Musk: “His sense of humor is amazing.” I guess Musk rules the world now after buying Trump and will just trash talk a man who has been fending a barbarian horde off his people for two years.

… Trump attended the UFC fight last night with Musk, Don Jr, RFK Jr, Mike Johnson, Tulsi Gabbard, Vivek Ramaswamy and Kid Rock.

… Sitting next to Trump on his left was Elon Musk and on his right was Yasir Al-Rumanyyan, the Saudi official who runs their $1 trillion Public Investment Fund. The Fund is the largest investor in X, gave Jared Kushner $2 Billion to invest and tens of millions in fees despite making them no money, has partnered with Trump on golf tournaments, and invested in Trump’s new golf resort under construction in Oman. Nothing to see here.

… Oklahoma’s Christian nationalist Superintendent of Schools Ryan Walters has directed all school teachers in the state to play a video of himself praying for Donald Trump to every student. He also denounces “woke teachers” in the video, and asked every principal to send a copy of the video to parents. You can read my story about that and watch the video here.

… Walters also said if woke school districts can put tampons in boys bathrooms he should be able to put Bibles in classrooms. Lovely guy.

… Texas’s corrupt AG Ken Paxton: “My good friend Kash Patel would make a fantastic FBI Director.” Paxton was impeached by his own party and was under a federal criminal indictment for years.

… Musk put out a written notice for job applicants on X: “We need super high-IQ small-government revolutionaries willing to work 80+ hours per week. This will be tedious work, make lots of enemies, and compensation is zero.” Plus you get to work for wonderful and friendly bosses.

… When asked how far their new ‘DOGE” committee plans to go with recommending budget cuts, Vivek Ramaswamy said, “We expect mass reductions, we expect certain agencies to be deleted outright. I think people will be surprised by how quickly we are able to move given the legal backdrop the Supreme Court has given us.”

… I never hear these guys ever mention that this DOGE thing is just an advisory committee with no power or authority. Trump said that the committee “will provide advice and guidance from outside the government.” Therefore, they will not have any power but will be subject to transparency and record-keeping requirement under federal law as a formal advisory committee.

… Ann Selzer, who released the controversial Iowa poll that showed Kamala Harris leading by 3 points in that state just days before the election has announced her retirement from the Des Moines Register to “transition to other ventures.” Trump won Iowa by 14 points. The general belief is that she resigned because of the poll, but Selzer claimed she planned to move on after this election previously.

… Trump posted tonight that Selzer should be “investigated” since her “totally fake poll caused great distrust and uncertainty at a very critical time.” Translation - everyone at MAL was completely freaked out and she ruined Trump’s dinner and caused staff to have to clean up ketchup on the walls. Another investigation for AG Gaetz.

… Trump’s SecDef nominee Pete Hegseth’s lawyer addressed publicly the past allegations of sexual assault against him: “She was the aggressor. She was sober, he was drunk. She took advantage of him.” But he paid her off in exchange for an NDA.

… So they guy who preached about “eroding values” as the main problem in America has 7 kids with 3 different women including a child with someone he had an affair with and also had paid for an NDA on the other incident where the woman claimed he sexually assaulted her to keep her from speaking publicly about it.

… Sen Markwayne Mullin said these things could sink Hegseth’s nomination. At any other time with any other president-elect he would’ve never been remotely considered in the first place.

… Also Mullen on Gaetz: “I didn’t even know he was an attorney until he was appointed to be AG.”

… Adam Kinzinger on Hegseth’s controversial tattoos: “The saying on his arm is not Christian, it’s Crusades, which were the opposite of Christian.”

… Mullen said he likes RFK Jr though because he is also an anti-vaxxer.

… AOC had harsh criticism for David Axelrod pushing Rahm Emmanuel as DNC Chair: “There is a disease in Washington of Democrats who spend more time listening to the donor class than working people. If you want to know the seed of the party’s political crisis, that is it. The DNC needs an organizer who gets people. Not someone who sends fish heads in the mail.”

… More AOC: “A lot of people want to bring Obama-era insiders back for party building purposes. While those folks ran successful presidential campaigns, they also oversaw some of the largest downballot losses in modern times. Party building is different. Look to people with recent successes.”

… Elon Musk has now joined the cause of Alex Jones by having his lawyers file a Notice of Appearance in his legal case to try and help him get the sale of InfoWars overturned. So Musk is now involved in fighting the Sandy Hook parents.

… Democrat Derek Tran has just pulled ahead of Republican Michelle Steele in a crucial congressional race in CA as they continue to count mail-in ballots. 91% of the vote is in and Tran leads by 36 votes.

… Bloomberg is reporting that promotion of self-driving cars will be a priority for Trump’s Department of Transportation and he will ease regulations allowing for them to be on the road. Elon starting to get his payoffs. Even these rumors will send the Tesla stock up tomorrow and make Musk more billions.

… Musk’s Senator Mike Lee responded to the story: “Self-driving cars will be safer than human-operated cars.”

… Lauren Boebert called on Trump to appoint Dan Bongino as Secretary of Secret Service. There is no such thing.

… Joe Biden is in Brazil today as the first sitting US president to visit the Amazon rainforest. The Biden Admin announced a commitment to provide $500 million dollars to the Amazon Fund to protect the rainforest to combat climate change. $50 million was previously provided and Biden is awarding another $50 million on the trip. The head of the Brazilian EPA says she does not expect Trump to honor the remaining commitment with “a single penny.”
