… The updated popular vote count is Trump (49.93%) - Harris (48.25%), with Trump now leading by just 2,579,736 votes. But I keep hearing that this was a landslide where everyone in America loves Trump and hates Democrats now.
… As the House Ethics Committee continues to block release of the Matt Gaetz report, details continue to be dribbled about from the lawyers representing the various accusers. Now we learn that Gaetz took two of them, one was 18 and the other 17 while he was 36, to see the movie Pretty Woman to groom them about being with an older man to have sex for money.
… Anna Paulina Luna claimed on CNN that it was only Democrats who want the Gaetz ethics report released. When confronted with the fact that it is actually Republican Senators like John Cornyn who have asked for it to be produced, Luna said, “John Cornyn to my knowledge made statements that were anti-MAGA about President Trump.” Well then I guess he doesn’t count as a Republican then.
… In 2020, Republican FL State Rep Chris Latvala posted on Twitter that Gaetz “created a game where members of the FL House got ‘points’ for having sex with aides, interns, lobbyists, and married legislators” when he was in the FL House.
… Joe Scarborough led off Morning Joe today saying that people on social media who criticized his visit to kiss the ring at MAL don’t live in “the real world,” but his friends around the world called him and told him he did the right thing. Then he took a sip of latte in his NYC studio. People on social media = not real. Friends in NY, DC, London, Paris, wherever = real.
… CNN’s John Berman: “You might know me from a cable morning show, but not the one (Fox) who paid a woman who accused him of sexual assault, nor the one that just sent two anchors to Mar-a-Lago then talked about it like it was the Yalta Summit.
… Brian Stelter from CNN reported though that the real reason why JoMika went to MAL is because they are intimidated by Trump and are afraid of what he might do to them if they didn’t make nice. George Conway: “Sadly, Brian’s reporting is correct. Over the past week I heard from two entirely separate very reliable sources, with some vivid detail, that they are absolutely terrified of Trump.”
… So they went down to MAL to kiss the ring because they are afraid of what he might to do them, but decided to put out a ridiculous cover story that their trip was like Zbigniew Brzezinski meeting with Leonid Brezhnev, then insulted their audience when they got upset. I’m not a marketing guy, but this seems like a flawed plan.
… Adam Kinzinger responded to the story with a one-word post: “Cowards”
… You can read my story about all that here.
… Nancy Mace, always thirsty searching for the next contrived fake outrage to get on Fox and Newsmax rather than actually working on legislation to help people in her district, posted 83 times in 22 hours about her resolution to ban her new trans colleague Sarah McBride from using the women’s bathroom in the Capitol.
… Naturally, Marge Greene chimed in since Mace is getting too much attention for her liking, and said that she would get in a “physical altercation” with any biological male who was in the women’s bathroom at the Capitol, according to CNN.
… Marge then went on Steve Bannon’s show to say that the Resolution is directed specifically at “the new chick with a dick in Congress.” Marge always keeps it classy.
… Mike Johnson was asked about this today: “Um, look. I’m not gonna get into this. We treat all persons with dignity and respect. I’m not going to engage in silly debates about this.” But wait, there’s more!
… After (obviously!) taking some heat behind close doors after that remark, MAGA Mike ran out two hours later to make the following clarifying statement/retraction of what he said earlier: “Let me be unequivocally clear. A man is a man and a woman is a woman. A man cannot become a woman.” Johnson really has tremendous courage in his convictions. Very brave.
… McBride’s response: “Every day Americans go to work with people who have life journeys different than their own and engage with them respectfully. I hope members of Congress can muster that same kindness.” Kindness isn’t the MAGA brand. Neither is being respectful of others.
… The stock market was down for the 6th consecutive day. But Trump said it was going to skyrocket after the election because investors were so excited. Then his Cabinet picks started happening.
… Sean Duffy for Transportation Secretary is his 6th nominee who is either currently working at Fox or worked there in the past.
… Trump was in Texas today with Shadow President Musk to watch a Space X launch with several members of Congress.
… Ron Desantis is furious at Senate Republicans who missed the vote yesterday when Embry Kidd was confirmed to the 11th Circuit court of appeals which handles cases from Florida: “This leftist judge would have been voted down and the seat on the important 11th Circuit would have been filled by Trump next year had Republicans shown up.”
… Trump then followed that up with a Truth Social post saying that Republican Senators need to show up and vote to block every Biden judicial appointment. Meanwhile, 3 Republican Senators were hanging out with Trump and Musk today in Texas watching a Space X launch missing votes while Chuck Schumer keeps confirming judges: Cruz, Hagerty, and Cramer.
… Steve Bannon’s War Room show CFO Grace Chong ripped JD Vance for missing the vote on the 11th Circuit judge. Vance responded that Chong is “a mouth breathing imbecile who attacks those of us in the fight rather than make herself useful.” Trump unity.
… In his post attacking Chong, Vance also said he has been busy interviewing nominees for FBI Director, which confirms that Trump intends to fire Chris Wray, who he appointed, with 3 years still left in his term.
… Vance then deleted the tweet two hours later. Not sure if he regretted calling Chong a mouth breather or because he inadvertently gave the game away on the Wray firing. Who knows with these dopes.
… Punchbowl is reporting that during a Senate luncheon, Republicans were angry at Vance and Marco Rubio for missing votes on the judicial nominees. They are
