Sen. Tammy Baldwin Joins Meidas to Sound Alarm on Trump’s Billionaire-First Agenda

Senator Tammy Baldwin joins MeidasTouch host Ben Meiselas to warn about Trump's prioritization of billionaires over hardworking Americans and litany of broken promises.

In an exclusive and candid conversation with MeidasTouch host Ben Meiselas, Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin laid out the stark reality of Trump’s return to power, highlighting a growing wave of voter regret and concern. Baldwin described a flood of calls from constituents—many of whom supported Trump—expressing shock and dismay at his rapid reversal on key issues like prescription drug costs, government jobs, and veterans’ services.

“He ran on lowering costs for hardworking families,” Baldwin noted. “But what we’re seeing is the exact opposite—billions in tax breaks for the wealthy, while everyday Americans are left footing the bill.” She pointed to the glaring visual at Trump’s inauguration, where a row of billionaires sat front and center, signaling where his true loyalties lie.

The senator also warned about Trump’s nominee for Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., calling him “dangerous” due to his history of promoting anti-vaccine conspiracies and his plan to fire scientists at the NIH working on life-saving medical research. “His disdain for science is alarming,” Baldwin said, vowing to oppose his confirmation.

Baldwin called out Trump’s tactic to flood the media with nonsense while he quietly breaks promises on inflation, jobs, and foreign policy. “We need to hold him to account,” she urged. “People voted for affordable groceries, child care, and housing—not for Trump to enrich his billionaire backers.”
