Chuck Todd wrote the most idiotic thing I’ve read today, and it perfectly encapsulates the problem with corporate media. It’s also a confession. He wrote, “These confirmation hearings may just save cable TV for the short term.”
You see, people like Chuck Todd and their corporate benefactors are losing relevance. Americans are sick and tired of their lazy reporting, blatant lies, “both sides” equivocations, and outright cheerleading for fascism. By ignoring the most obvious lessons of history, corporate media rooted for chaos, drama, torment, crime, and hardship, believing idiocracy and fascism would be good for ratings.
Well, here it is, Chuck Todd. And no one cares about you or your network. In fact, we hold you responsible for forcing this circus upon us.
If Senate confirmation hearings take place at all, we, the people, are not watching them on your network, Chuck.
You’ve lost the trust of the people. You’re out of touch.
We don’t want to see sexual deviants like Matt Gaetz, pro-Putin scoundrels like Tulsi Gabbard, anti-vaxx charlatans like RFK Jr., or Fox weekend hosts like Pete Hegseth nominated for Cabinet positions. These are people who are more deserving of restraining orders to keep them away from positions of power than appointments to life-or-death decision-making roles.
Americans are fed up with corporate media treating us like pawns in their grotesque reality show of American carnage. Here’s what I signed up for: to be a loving father, husband, family man, patriot, a productive community member, and someone who gives back and does his part during his time on this earth. What I — what we — did not sign up for is to be collateral damage in your ratings war or your insatiable lust for wealth and power.
So go away, Chuck Todd. Go away, corporate media. You betrayed us. We, the people, will not forgive you. We are not going back. We despise what you’ve done to us and this country.
We are building something new — a media network powered by people and funded by communities like this one on Substack.
The MeidasTouch Network has risen from the ashes of the defunct Fourth Estate. We, the people, have found our voices here. This is where people come to get their news now.
And to that end, if you’re not already a paid subscriber to this Substack, please join us today.
So long, Chuck.
That’s is the reason I don’t watch anymore. Ratings are more important than the truth, they bellyached about Biden’s miss-speaks, stuttering and etc.. Pitiful.
I have stopped watching all corporate media. They have failed the American people. I am guessing Chuck Todd is salivating, but I find his statement dangerous and wrong.
