This video could be improved substantially by eliminating the wife or at the very least, asking her not talk over her husband so much. I’d like to hear more from the person elected.

It's okay. She's excited and engaged and supportive. These two have a good dynamic, and they're both better people thanks to one another. I enjoyed this conversation, in part because of her additional comments.

If she was saying anything substantial, ok, but she was just babbling.

My thoughts exactly.

I stopped listening after 4 minutes.

There was not enough give and take in the conversation.

It was tooo much supportive wife and not enough State Senator.

I would feel the exact same way if it was a woman Senator Elect and her husband talked too much. So this is not a sexist reaction.

I hope this information will be of help to them.

spoken like a male. men constantly interrupt women or talk over them.

With all due respect to her, I'm a woman and I agree with Robert. I wanted to hear from the person who was elected, who will be in Congress. I particularly wanted to hear how his guy won in Ohio to learn from what went right there. I don't think they got to that.

He's the candidate, not the wife. I hear her overtalking him.

I agree with Lucy and others. Came on here to say this and was glad to see I wasn't the only one who felt this way.

We, as a nation, are going to HAVE to hold media to a higher standard!

Reagan’s dismissal of the Fairness Doctrine was the worst decision of his administration. We didn’t realize it at the time but, I now believe if we can’t trust the 4th Estate our democracy is toast.

Innuendo, disinformation and outright lies are now controlling our various media outlets. This, plus the distrust of the court system, has led us to believe the worst qualified person is actually a beacon of truth.

Expand full comment

We as the non-MAGA, pro Democracy Americans need a broad media eco-system to offset the right. And we need more brave, strong people to go on to the right wing media and call out their BS

Expand full comment

MANY of us realized this at the time, even though the decision was "justified" by the rise of cable television news. The traditional journalists and newspapers especially tried to sound the alarm, but the takeover of radio and swooping consolidation of media monopolization by major corporate players was behind it. After all, Reagan was just an actor who believed in the cause. He was given his lines by the Oligarchs that have just now completed their coup. And yes, it was largely thanks to the media, especially to Fox, who showed others the way, then magnified by the the wild west of social media.

He made many missteps !

Expand full comment

Let me be clear about my response - Reagan did more mistakes.

Expand full comment

Whatever we can say about Reagan, he had a good measure of morals, AND surrounded himself with capable people! the Orange cult can't spell morals, nor does anyone around Trump even disagree on anything!

When he orders burgers with everything on them, the people with allergies to condiments just get their EPI pens ready!!

She should NOT have conceded until every, single, last vote was counted. I am sick of the Dems not FIGHTING. They always roll over and 'do the right thing' but that right think might be more fighting, more resistance, more smacking back.

ALSO: Democrats need to get themselves on the tv and talk shows and podcasts and get their message out. I was sick of watching constantly, Republicans being interviewed and consulted, as if there were only ONE party in this country. Why? Is it because Dems were too scared to go before the cameras?

I am still wondering if this election wasn't stolen or interfered with in some way. I am going to be following Greg Palast to see what he uncovered. Anyone else watch his documentary, Vigilantes, Inc.?

I agree. That's why I changed from a Democrat to an Independent. I voted Democrat down the line. Back in 2021, action should have begun immediately after the Insurrection. If it had, we may not have been in this mess now! I'm terrified for what is coming.

The only reason why I don't change my registration to I is because I enjoy being able to be called to be a poll observer, or to do hand recounts, etc. that only people with party affiliation are usually made aware or allowed to be involved. If there were a Labor Party, I would already be long gone.

Re stolen election, I agree. How is that voters passed Abortion rights, protected Public school funding from De Vos et al, defeated Billionaire attempts to push through Ranked Voting with NO campaign finance caps, and may other very complex direct voter ballot measures, while Voting for Trump? AND how could PA and other "don't process mail in votes until election day" be called SO Early? It reeks of 2000. A quiet steal?

Mega are not smart people

Expand full comment

Plenty of MAGA are plenty smart. They are just incredibly cynical and so vote Only in the best interests of their family's "fortunes," or they are very smart and very sure that America needs to stay White, or they are very greedy and vote for more Power for their businesses, or they really, deeply fear women.

On JAN 6 Americans from ALL walks of life stormed the capital. A study by Duke U, I believe it was, found that the ONE overriding belief shared by the majority of them was that the Great Replacement Theory was true.

The theory that they, the White Men, were being replaced.

The legacy of colonialism, slavery, and Christian Patriarchy, activated by super rich Industrialists and banksters, just like Germany was in the 30's.

Yes, WE need to fight back if they won't. Harder than ever. Demand recounts. ALSO: Harris was All Over the Media, and I hope her example is followed, but

the MEDIA is corporate controlled, and they are 100% for keeping their monopolies and tax breaks and total lack of government oversight, so who do you think they like to invite on their air?

From Hopium Chronicles on SubStack

"We need a more robust 24/7/365 pro-democracy media we discussed yesterday, but we also need a more aggressive Democratic Party-led strategy to engage Democratic voters in all 50 states to drive turnout in every election, in every state. The Democratic Party and our Presidential campaigns have to be more than just 7 battleground states. "

Agree. I suggest humbly that the DNC put more people like Jess Piper (outspoken, hardworking rural "Dirt Road Democrat" from Missouri) on the committe and actually listen to her attentively.

Yes that worked back in the day. But not for today's politics. Those southern states never got past their slaves set free. They've always hated Dems. For what? Doing the right thing?

Congrats! Yes VP Harris is amazing and did what we expected for the country. Please note that 50% of the country did not vote for Trump! Only a 1/3 if the country. As a Senator I think it behooves you to read what Stephan Spoonamore writes about the election. He is an expert on hacking and counterhacking. Has been doing this for 25 years.

Expand full comment

I agree. I'm still shocked and dismayed about Dem's bending over in 2000. These election results do NOT add up, literally. Spoonamore has filed a motion in PA. We need Georgia, Wisconsin and anywhere the BOMB THREATS came through, at the very least, to do HAND RECOUNTS asap. I'm in CA in a blue district so I can't file re disenfranchisement, but anyone where Trump won but the voters passed Abortion Protection, No Funding for Vouchers, No Billionaire run Ranked Choice Voting, etc SHOULD FILE NOW. And get those Red counties where 45% of Hispanic voters went for Trump checked as well!

Thank you. We are in for a ride of a lifetime. With tRump giving up Ukraine to that Russian bastard, all the little country's will also be taken over. I can't believe that red wave of the morons had that many votes. In U.S. Everyone i know are Democrats except a few. RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA....WTF he help tRump. Now putin wants to be paid back from tRump's promise. ELON MUSK has the satellites and one happened to exploded right after his unlikely win. Humm 🤷‍♀️
