Trump Begs World Leaders for Eggs

While Trump threatens our allies, he's secretly begging them for help behind the scenes

By Ben Meiselas

You really can’t make this stuff up. While Donald Trump stomps around pretending he’s the tough guy on the world stage—bashing our allies, threatening NATO countries, floating imperialist nonsense about annexing Greenland—he’s also sending people behind the scenes to beg those very same countries… for eggs.

Yes, you heard that right. Eggs.

According to a report from Reuters, the Trump administration has been quietly pleading with countries like Denmark to export eggs to the United States to deal with skyrocketing prices and supply shortages back home. It’s a humiliating contradiction: in public, Trump mocks and threatens Denmark, slaps tariffs on European goods, and calls for the annexation of Greenland. Behind closed doors? He’s groveling to the same people he insults.

This is what Trump calls “the art of the deal”? More like the art of the desperate beg.

And the hypocrisy doesn’t end there. Trump promised lower egg prices on Day One. Instead, prices have surged over 59% year over year. He’s failed at home, failed abroad, and now wants Denmark—the country he’s trying to bully—to bail him out with breakfast food.

Let that sink in.

Meanwhile, the Danish government has made it clear: not only are they not giving up Greenland, they’re offended Trump even joked about it. One Danish defense official even warned that Trump’s annexation fantasy would mean war between NATO countries. But Trump doesn’t care about diplomacy—he cares about delusions of grandeur and MAGA propaganda.

It’s not just Denmark. Trump’s erratic behavior has alienated allies across the globe. In Canada, the newly sworn-in prime minister said in no uncertain terms: We will never, ever be part of the United States. In Australia, seasoned diplomats are dealing with the “Trump 2.0” regime’s hardline, isolationist, and frankly bizarre trade demands. And in Europe, leaders like UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer are trying to manage the Ukraine conflict while Trump spouts Putin’s propaganda word for word and pretends it’s diplomacy.

I’m not exaggerating—Trump literally posted what might as well have been dictated by the Kremlin, claiming Putin is ready to end the war and that Ukrainian troops are surrounded (spoiler: they’re not). Ukraine’s military had to publicly debunk Trump’s lies. Even President Zelensky had to call out Putin’s phony peace games and Trump’s complicity in helping Russia stall diplomacy.

This is what happens when you have a weak, reckless, egotistical fool who prefers autocrats over allies.

So here’s my message to you: don’t be distracted by Trump’s staged rallies or soundbites. Look at what’s really going on. Look at the damage he’s doing to our global standing, and the embarrassment he’s causing America. He’s not a leader—he’s a liability.
