Trump Campaign Allegedly Paid RFK Jr.’s Law Firm $100,000 Before Endorsement
Leaked documents reveal a legal services contract between Donald Trump's campaign and a firm associated with RFK Jr., raising questions about a possible quid pro quo.
A new report from American Muckrakers reveals that Donald Trump’s campaign allegedly paid a law firm associated with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. $100,000, shortly before Kennedy endorsed Trump in his 2024 presidential bid. The leaked documents show that the Trump campaign retained the legal services of JW Howard Attorneys, where RFK Jr. serves as of counsel, sparking speculation about a potential quid pro quo.
According to the legal contract, Trump's campaign paid the firm a flat fee of $100,000 for “political legal research regarding presidential candidate Kamala Harris.” The timing of the payment, just days before Kennedy dropped out of the race and endorsed Trump, raises questions about whether the endorsement was part of a broader transactional arrangement.
The contract, which American Muckrakers obtained and published, shows that the Trump campaign agreed to pay the fee within seven days of the agreement’s execution. What stands out, however, is that JW Howard Attorneys primarily handles business litigation, not political research, making the payment for opposition research on Harris all the more curious.
