Trump showed up at what was supposed to be a Department of Justice press conference on fentanyl and hijacked the event, turning it into a full-blown pity party — whining about the media, fantasizing about persecuting his political enemies, praising January 6 insurrectionists, and ranting about “groceries.” Yes, really.
This was supposed to be about cracking down on fentanyl. Instead, Trump marched into the sacred halls of the DOJ — a building he should be nowhere near as a convicted felon — and made it all about him. First, he started ranting about how Republicans are being "persecuted," then launched into a totally unhinged attack claiming CNN and MSNBC are illegal. Illegal! That’s not how the First Amendment works, but when has Trump ever cared about the Constitution?
Then, in what can only be described as full-blown authoritarian projection, Trump bragged that he should get more credit for pardoning January 6 terrorists — calling them "political prisoners." This man stood in the DOJ building and celebrated pardoning the people who violently attacked the Capitol and tried to end democracy.
He then name-checked people like Marc Elias — a lawyer who fights to protect voting rights — and called them "bad people" for defending the Constitution. That tells you everything you need to know about where Trump stands.
And of course, no Trump appearance is complete without his obsession with crowd sizes. Yes, he bragged about the turnout at a DOJ press conference. The narcissism is bottomless.

He lied — again — about the 2020 election, called it “rigged and crooked,” and said the people responsible should be jailed. He then proudly said one of the greatest moments of his life was firing FBI Director James Comey. Imagine thinking that was your life’s peak achievement.
But it got worse.
Trump bragged about revoking security clearances for prosecutors like Special Counsel Jack Smith and state AGs like Alvin Bragg and Letitia James — as if that’s some sort of win. He then rambled about liking the word “groceries” because it’s “old-fashioned.” Huh?
He lavished praise on Judge Aileen Cannon — the same corrupt Trump-appointed judge who just dismissed the classified documents case in a stunning abuse of power — and claimed it might be illegal for anyone to criticize her. That’s not how the law works, but Trump doesn’t care about law; he only cares about protecting himself.
He went on to suggest that the media criticizing him should be illegal and accused the New York Times and others of being part of a conspiracy to “convict Trump.” It’s total projection. The guy who tried to overturn an election, attacks judges and their families, and threatens the media, is accusing others of corruption — it’s laughable if it weren’t so dangerous.
Then Trump got to the fascist cherry on top: He promised “far-reaching investigations” into his political opponents and vowed to “expel rogue actors” from government — meaning anyone who dares to hold him accountable. His vision isn’t law and order. It’s dictatorship.
Oh, and let’s not forget Attorney General Pam Bondi standing next to him with fake fentanyl props. Just like her fake Epstein binder stunt, this was all just political theater — staged distractions while Trump spewed bile and lies.
At one point, Trump actually said, “There could be no more heinous betrayal of American values than to use the law to terrorize the innocent and reward the wicked.” That’s rich coming from the man who incited an insurrection, stole classified documents, and is now promising to use the DOJ as his personal revenge tool.
A felon. A sexual abuser. Spewing lies inside the DOJ.
This wasn’t just inappropriate — it was one of the darkest, most disturbing moments in the history of the Department of Justice.
But we cannot be numb to it. We have to keep fighting back, exposing the truth, and holding the line for democracy.
Trump’s threats to prosecute the media don’t scare us one bit. Donald, if you think you can shut us up here at the MeidasTouch Network, you will have to rip this microphone out of my hands.
