Well, well, well. If it isn’t the most predictable karma in the world.
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, who publicly backed Donald Trump for “business reasons,” just got a harsh lesson in what it actually means to do business with Trump—he got completely screwed over.
Let me break this down for you. Back in 2024, Kemp said that even though he wasn’t Trump’s biggest fan personally, he preferred his policies over those of Vice President Kamala Harris. “It’s a business decision,” he told a Republican audience.
And now?
His business partner, Donald Trump, has decided to gut FEMA and deny Georgia the critical disaster aid that President Biden had previously approved for hurricane recovery. That’s right—Kemp begged for an extension of FEMA assistance for cleanup efforts after Hurricane Helene, and Trump’s FEMA basically told him to go pound sand.
Let me remind you that Biden had immediately stepped in after Hurricane Helene, ensuring Georgia had the federal support it needed. But the moment Trump got his hands on FEMA, he made it a priority to cut off aid to a state whose governor helped him win in 2024.
This is classic Trump—vindictive, incompetent, and eager to punish anyone who isn’t groveling at his feet.
And it’s not like this should have been a surprise to Kemp. Trump already showed him exactly who he was in 2020 when Kemp refused to overturn Georgia’s election results for him. Back then, Trump lashed out, called him a “moron” and a “nut job,” and then deliberately delayed Georgia’s disaster aid request for nearly two months—just to spite him. And yet, even after all that, Kemp still lined up behind Trump in 2024, like a battered business partner who keeps crawling back to a con man who’s already taken everything from him.
So here we are.
Kemp kissed the ring, only to get stabbed in the back. Georgia is now suffering the consequences of Trump’s ego-driven mismanagement, while he and his MAGA goons continue pushing lie after lie about the economy, FEMA, and the federal government. Meanwhile, blue states—the ones that actually contribute the most to the federal government—are the ones Trump goes out of his way to attack rhetorically.
But the real kicker? Red states, the ones that rely the most on federal assistance, are the ones getting screwed the hardest by Trump’s policies.
Republican governors like Brian Kemp are spineless. They know Trump is a criminal. They know he is destructive. They know he lies. And yet, they still bow down. Why? Because of mean Truth Social posts? Because of the fear of Trump’s base? It’s pathetic.
Trump doesn’t care about Georgia, and he sure as hell doesn’t care about the people suffering from natural disasters. He only cares about himself. If Kemp didn’t see this coming, then he’s an even bigger fool than we thought.
Let this be a lesson to every Republican who still thinks they can “do business” with Trump. You can’t. He will always screw you over. Always. And the people who will suffer the most won’t be the politicians—it’ll be the hardworking Americans they were supposed to stand up for.
So if you’re in Georgia, or anywhere else in this country, and you’re tired of the lies, the cruelty, and the never-ending chaos, you have the power to speak out against this cruel and vindictive administration.
Never accept any of this as normal. Don’t let corporate media “sane-wash” Trump.
Let’s all make our voices so forceful that the entire world hears us loud and clear: You are a traitor, Donald. You are a predator. You promised lower prices on Day 1. You promised no tax on tips. You promised an end to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine within 24 hours. And what have you delivered? Our allies are booing us around the world and holding emergency summits to combat your failed leadership. Prices are skyrocketing. Planes keep crashing. Our confidential secrets are being leaked on the Internet. Our states recovering from disasters are being left to fend for themselves.
But hey, at least your oligarch friends are excited about the $4.5 trillion in tax cuts you have planned for them.
