Trump Leaves the Super Bowl Early After Being Utterly Humiliated

Trump looked ridiculous after blowing millions in tax payer dollars to attend the game

In a new report, Ben Meiselas highlights Donald Trump's awful appearance and erratic behavior at the Super Bowl, disoriented and trying to make the game all about himself. After spending millions in taxpayer money to attend the game in person, Trump left early—his much-touted Kansas City Chiefs trailing at the time. In a moment of poetic irony, the team scored its first touchdown immediately after his departure.

Trump’s pre-game antics were no less bizarre. He issued a proclamation declaring “Gulf of America Day,” a move Meiselas derides as another display of Trump’s boundless narcissism—one that also serves as a distraction from his failure to improve Americans' daily lives. Beyond his superficial stunts, Trump made yet another alarming statement on Gaza, boasting about his intention to “own” and redevelop the region, an idea that continues to spark backlash. Meanwhile, his announcement of new tariffs on steel and aluminum imports sent shockwaves through global markets, prompting Canada and Australia to scramble for exemptions and triggering retaliatory tariffs from China. Where most presidents use Super Bowl appearances to celebrate the game and its players, Trump seized the moment to sow chaos throughout the entire world.

Adding to the spectacle, Trump and his MAGA loyalists erupted in outrage over Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show, which featured politically charged messages critical of the former president and his attempts to erase Black culture. Trump reportedly left the stadium just two minutes before the end of the performance, which opened with Lamar defiantly declaring, “The revolution is about to be televised. You picked the right time but the wrong guy.”

Meiselas also highlights Trump’s cringeworthy attempts to associate himself with the family of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, suggesting that Trump’s endorsement may have been more of a curse than a blessing. And in yet another reminder of Trump’s habitual falsehoods, Meiselas revisits his recent ludicrous claim that Senator Tommy Tuberville once coached Mahomes—an outright fabrication.

In the end, the evening proved to be a humiliating episode for Trump, and a small yet satisfying victory for those standing guard over democracy.
