Trump Spit in Our Faces as We Evacuated LA…SCUMBAG

Hi Meidas Mighty. I’ll keep this short.

I was forced to evacuate my home because of the fires in Los Angeles.

We made it out in time. My family is safe. I don’t know if my house will burn down. Brett has not had to evacuate yet.

On a personal level, I count my blessings that my family is safe. That’s what matters most.

I know countless others here in LA who are surely suffering more than I am, and I mourn for them.

I pray for them.

I am at a loss for words for what I can say to them other than: I am here for you. To all those suffering right now from these horrific fires, we stand with you, we care about you, and we want you to stay strong.

Sadly, the MAGA predators got to work immediately.

Trump and his band of MAGA stooges, including politicians, influencers, and propagandists like Fox “News,” immediately started using the fire to attack California Governor Gavin Newsom and Democrats.

This is what MAGA always does.

There is no tragedy that Trump and MAGA won’t immediately exploit to divide Americans with lies.

As Democratic leaders actually try to do the work of governing and responding to emergencies, Trump and MAGA spew lie after lie, amplified by their media oligarchs to massive audiences—especially during and after tragedies.

This isn’t unique to the LA fires.

They did this with hurricanes, which they blamed on Democrats and migrants.

They do this with terrorist attacks, which they blame on President Biden or migrants.

Whatever the tragedy, they always blame Democrats, repeating lie after lie.

While President Biden focused on marshaling federal resources and Governor Newsom worked to deploy California’s assets, Trump and MAGA blamed Democrats and “DEI” for the fires, repeating their falsehoods all day.

Republican billionaires now own and control most media. This is the message they feed to Americans and to those suffering from disaster, who are broken and at their most vulnerable.

There was once a time when Americans would unite during times of tragedy—as one nation. Donald Trump and MAGA destroyed that.

Once I made sure my family was safe, I got back to work immediately.

As the co-founder of the MeidasTouch Network, I made sure to marshal all of our resources to push back against the Trump and MAGA lies.

I have channeled my anger at Trump and MAGA—and the emotions I now feel—into growing this network even more.

We already beat Fox and corporate media on digital platforms.

In four years, I want to squash these oligarch-backed propaganda machines with the power of this community.

This is my life’s purpose, and I can only do this with you, the Meidas Mighty.

This moment in history has called us together. We must meet this moment.

Thankfully, we are safe.

Please keep others in your hearts who have been affected by the fires, as I’m sure you have. They deserve our attention now more than we do.
