10 clips from his previous debates gives insight into his substance and style. I went back and watched several of Tim Walz's previous debates where you can see how he might handle some of the key issues that will be raised in his debate with Vance.
JD will go on & on about the horrible 'scenarios' in Springfield & about how women who are seeking abortions will be punished to the fullest extent of his Draconian law. He will probably also bring up the rioting and talk about how it 'should' of been handled. Thing is, JD is really good at creating fake problems, not dealing with actual real situations.🤦🏽♀️🙄
He’ll do what 45 has done on moved to talking about the next small town that encouraged legal Haitian immigrants to come there to help their dying town. Another lawsuit and horrible turmoil for the residents! 😡
Walz does a good job and gives his views in a strong and honest manner, but considering how vile his fast-talking opponent was in these so-called 'debates', he did exceptionally well (when you really want to slug the guy, Tim kept his cool)

If you watch it on their channel they say they will fact check there but that’s a horrible excuse and an obvious attempt to get higher ratings for their channel and not as much blowback from GQCP⁉️🤦🏻♀️ Mainstream media it’s a terrible problem maybe one day MTN will host a debate and do it properly? 🤞
I have been worried about this head to head. Watching Tim Walz in these clips answer so succinctly is a breath of fresh air. He’s so open and genuine and jd js such a pos, I hope this debate shoes jd for what he is.
Thanks for pulling out these clips, Ron! I have a different take on the emotionality of these candidates, though. I think when they’re challenged, Walz does a much better job staying cool and responding logically, with facts. When Vance was challenged by Dana Bash about his lies regarding Haitian immigrants, he became petulant, whiny, condescending, and lost track of what he was saying. I think he pretended not to hear her for a second when she pointed out that he said he created the story, and he did that during another interview that got uncomfortable for him, too (pretended he couldn’t hear the interviewer). Walz has been through so many stressful situations and dealt with bullies as a teacher and a congressman and governor - I am, as Robert Reich says, nauseously optimistic
The debate of course won’t show truth or lies or Vance’s made up stories next to the debate screen for viewers. Have you noticed when Vance holds a rally, his supporters stand behind him, so they direct crowd whatever like booos at a reporter that wants to ask Vance a question etc. The Governor, I believe will be level headed and speak the truth. The opposite will take place by Vance, I believe.
Hopefully Walz just quickly can call out the lies and say all ya gotta do is fact check it. And move on to some substance about how USELESS Trump and Vance would be to the American people.

Boy that guy who Walz was running against for governor is a real jerk, isn't he? The snottiness of the Republicans just irks me. They do not have the comportment needed for the office they are seeking, they are just so snotty, it is a real turn off. Which is exactly the way Trump is, although Trump is 10x worse than the Minnesota opponent of Walz. I cannot wait to vote, after the election I want someone to walk onto the stage where Trump is whining and frothing and bring that big wooden hook and hook him by the neck and pull him off the stage. Be DONE with you Trump, you get the hook! I not only want Trump defeated I want him GONE from the public discourse. Just be gone, go away, slither back to Mar A Lardo and go play golf, nobody cares about your grievances, nobody cares.
I expect GOV Walz to do well; Vance will attempt to land his bullshit “stolen valor” attack on Walz.
My brother, a retired Army officer and an “I hate Trump, but I hate Woke more” Republican lost his mind over Walz’ statement “the weapons of war I carried, war is where they belong,” and also attacked Walz viciously for his supposed “stolen valor.”
I am also a retired Army officer, and I think Walz just took a normal retirement from the National Guard at a normal time. Perhaps not surprisingly, I am a lifelong Democratic Party voter, but I never actually hated a Republican candidate before Trump and Vance.
Trump is a disgusting “grab ‘em by the pussy” con man who has assaulted women and will give anything and everything to Putin.
Vance is a terrifyingly smarmy right-wing woman-hater who is trying to bring democracy itself down, just like Peter Thiel and Elon Musk are doing.
Great job on pulling the clips together, Ron. Walz had said he was not particularly good at debating yet here he is shining his way through several. He's quick on his feet and as long as he doesn't get distracted about having to challenge JDs lies, Walz will be fine.

On the rare occasions when I think of him or discuss him, I always call him Shaydee Vance. It just seems to fit.
